AS/A2 Health and Social Care
Health & Social Care is an ideal course for those pupils wishing to pursue a career in any field in the Health or Care industries. Pupils of Health & Social Care have followed careers in nursing, social work, teaching, working with older people, working in early years, care for people with additional needs or any career in the promotion of good health.
The course can be taken as a single or double award. For single award pupils will complete six units over two years. For double award pupils must complete 12 units over two years. There is a choice of assessment methods which suit pupil’s interests and strengths.

Pupils will have an opportunity to interact with the Health, Social Care and Early Years sectors. Where time is available on the timetable pupils may experience working within these sectors. No previous qualifications in Health and Social Care is necessary to obtain a place on the course. |
